ACTS Academy of Higher Education is presently located at Bethel Homes in Rayasandra, Bangalore.

ACTS Academy started out as ACTS Institute in 1979, a radical Bible college at the time, offering Bible/Theology classes in the morning and vocational classes in the afternoon. The idea was that these young men and women would become self-supporting Christian workers, engaged in various kinds of Christian ministry, and not necessarily in a church or Christian organisation. Essentially, we wanted and still want to help them discover how they can rise up and walk (Acts 3:6).

The institute has grown over the years and is today known as ACTS Academy of Higher Education, offering residential and distance education programmes from a Diploma to a PhD. These programmes are accredited by the Asia Theological Association (https://ataindia.org) and the International Council for Higher Education (http://www.ichenetwork.org). ACTS Academy is in the process of launching an online programme and is already serving students in Africa, Indonesia, and the Cayman Islands.

ACTS Academy offers training that is centred around practical ministry orientation. Students are introduced to innovative and effective patterns of education that will prepare them for Christian ministry in the multi-religious context of India. The vision of ACTS Academy is to equip and empower people, and to establish a community of people learning to live and witness for Christ. ACTS Academy lays emphasis on integration and holism and this is reflected in our curriculum. Internships are an important part of the programme.

Headed by its principal Dr Rajesh Ravindra, the ACTS faculty come with rich experience across diverse disciplines. Further leadership is provided by Dr Paul Mohan Raj - Director Higher Education, Dr Richard Gnanakan - Vice Chancellor, and Dr Ken Gnanakan - Chancellor.

All programmes of ACTS Academy of Higher Education are accredited by Asia Theological Association, the leading accrediting agency for theological education all over Asia. ACTS is also affiliated to the International Council for Higher Education, a global body networking educators all over the world.

ACTS has direct links with Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and our degrees are recognized by AU for higher studies.
